I've Had It! ENOUGH is enough!

I began half-hearted journaling about 14 years ago. What began as an outlet for my emotions turned into a passion I thought was buried with so many other childhood dreams.
I had loved writing as a kid. Loved reading and research, book reports, and summer reading challenges. I even participated in a young writers' competition way back in my early middle school years.
But that's where it ended. Writing wasn't a career. So I went out and found myself a real job. A lot of them actually!
It wasn't until I was into my 40s when I picked up a pen that I just haven't been able to put down. Still, not as a career move, more as a necessary mental emptying. What began as roller coaster journaling, morphed into many posts regarding my daily scripture readings or long-winded bible study rabbit holes. And ultimately a small DIY gift booklet.
When ENOUGH started showing up, it was as if God was encouraging me. As in, "you are ENOUGH Kristina. I love you, always have, and always will!"
What you will find in this original booklet are the things I wanted our children to hear regarding what I was learning about God, Jesus, and grace. I had a list of scriptures and a hunger for God to speak to me in a manner that I could easily share with them. That was it.
You see, six months earlier Hurricane Harvey had done a number on my favorite meet-with-God-beach town AND my heart, and I just needed to share with our kids how much God loves each of His children.
Ironically, all these years later, over 450 booklets given away, I cannot say with certainty that a single one of our children actually read ENOUGH.
I can guarantee this much! Had I known where this writing journey was headed back then, and how vulnerably difficult it would be, I probably would've chucked the pen.
But thankfully, despite our strained relationships, I desperately desired to teach our children some things I had never understood. About Jesus. About grace. About God and life and learning about His great love for me.
In spite of my past. My messy past that included divorce. And dropping out of college. And too many jobs. And too many sins. And even more shame!
What began all those years ago in Corpus Christi, TX has followed me around the country ever since. Writing has put me in more vulnerable places and situations than I would've ever agreed to. Probably why it seems God is sometimes keeping our life details a secret! He knows how scary the path He created us for will be!
A perfect reason we need to continually keep the message of ENOUGH in front of us! God, our Creator is ENOUGH. Jesus, our Lord and Savior accomplished ENOUGH to save us for eternity. I, Kristina Marie, am ENOUGH thanks to the previous two sentences!
We all need encouragement on this journey through life. ENOUGH has been a free resource since first written and will continue to be! I hope it encourages you to believe in the God who created you and Jesus who died to save you from the penalty of sins.
I know faith in Jesus can be a hard topic, which is why I write about my journey through it! My first self-published book, TWISTED: Are You Gobbling Up Lies, Declaring Them as Your Truth? is currently available through the link above. With a second book, CREATED UNequal, getting very close to publication!
If you would like your FREE pdf copy of ENOUGH, click the link at the top of the page to email me. The response is not automated so please do not expect to receive it immediately. I will do my best to respond within 24 hours.
Follow me on Instagram so you can be sure not to miss out on encouragement from a fellow life traveler who is slowly, but thankfully, learning she is ENOUGH. The effort she puts forth is ENOUGH. Because her God is and always has been ENOUGH! Thank you, Jesus!!!
