TWISTED was "written" and thrown on the shelf by the beginning of 2024. The previous few years' quiet time journals had been mixed with lots of scripture. I knew a traditional publisher wouldn't touch it. Too many grammatical issues. Too many partial sentences. Too raw. Too real. Too whatever.
But I kept doodling with the word, kept envisioning possibilities for a cover, kept seeking God's direction. During which time, God revealed a couple of very important details of my potential cover design.
When I received an email in regards to self-publishing in late August 2024, I had about two days to make the decision to act on a deal I could actually afford. You see, I had a God stash to publish TWISTED, I just never imagined it would be enough. In God's perfect fashion, it was almost exactly the amount I needed.
So, as I finished up my last tax collection season, I turned in my first manuscript, TWISTED: Are You Gobbling Up Lies, Declaring Them As Your Truth?
The excitement quickly turned to trying not to be anxious as we entered yet another chapter in life. I say "we", because as I say in my book dedication, this would not have been possible without the constant support of my Godly hubbs. We are a team in all we do.
