In early 2017, I needed a project. But not just any project, something initiated by God.

My time in Texas had turned me into an avid reader. My favorite place, besides the beach, was the bargain shelves at Mardel, the christian bookstore.
You've got a wagon, a ton of books, and a love of the beach. Get out there and give away books. This is what God spoke to my heart. So I did. Twice. Just me, God, and whoever He led across my path. A lady on vacation from Oregon. I young lady who needed some encouragement. It made no difference to me.
Then, on August 25th 2017, Hurricane Harvey hit south TX, hard.
Seeing firsthand the devastation from a cat 5 hurricane is a very humbling experience. I knew our lives would never be the same. It stirs things in your heart you didn't realize were there.
It would be a few months yet before my own writing would even begin. But not before God directed our steps down another crazy path. Chase the Son Services was about to be born.
